High performance reflex port design
To increase the Genelec M040 woofer’s low frequency extension and SPL capacity, Genelec designed an ingenious flow optimized reflex port. The built-in port maximizes airflow, so the M040 can reproduce deep bass without compression. The Laminar Integrated Port (LIP) minimizes port noise and provides excellent bass articulation.

With a frequency response of 48Hz to 20kHz, the M040 is perfect for accurate studio monitoring. Bass and treble are each powered by 80-watt and 50-watt amplifiers, respectively.
